Faber-Castell: Material World

With its rich history and pedigree as one of the oldest makers of writing instruments in the world, its unsurprising that Faber-Castell has explored a range of unusual materials across its collections. Yes, there are precious metals, matte and gloss lacquers and – of course – wooden pencils, but the designers have also added some more left field elements.

With a Faber-Castell pen, you could choose sleek pearwood, smoke oak wood or grained coconut wood barrels. There are precious resins, etched croc or parquet designs and brushed stainless steel too. After something more modern? The WRITink line is 3D printed using a thermos plastic polymer – you can’t get much more modern.
