What's it for?
This standard international converter by Schmidt is designed for a wide range of fountain pens. It is essentially an empty ink cartridge, which can be filled with bottled ink of your choosing (sold separately). This is an eco-friendly choice often preferred by writers and allows you the freedom to swap ink colours whenever you like.
How does it work?
To use the converter, you firstly need to remove the nib section from your pen and the empty ink cartridge (if applicable). You can then insert the converter into the nib section, the same way you would with a pre-filled ink cartridge. Once fitted, you need to twist the end of the converter so that the plunger drops down nearest to the nib. You can then dip the end of the nib into an ink bottle, and turn the end of the converter once more to suck up the ink (similar to how a syringe works). Once filled, we recommend wiping off the end of the nib, and then replacing it within the barrel of your pen.
