Key Features
The pens are manufactured from high-grade plastic with a cylindrical design and printed symbols to indicate which tip is present on either side of the pen. One side of the pen has a brush tip for shading small or large areas, and also to add brush strokes to your project. The opposite side of the pen has a fine tip for adding precision details and lines to your work. The pens are filled with water-based pigment, which can be layered and blended in the same way that watercolour paints work. We recommend using the Tombow ABT Dual Brush Blender for maximum blending potential, but you can also use a brush and water.Top Tips
One of the most significant steps when layering colours is to work from light to dark shades. This provides more flexibility and helps you to develop an understanding of how colours change when you layer more on top. You can also use lighter colours on top of dark colours to give them a slight variation in hue, which is recommended as a final step before the art piece is complete.
