There are many different ways to use colouring pencils, but there are few techniques that will enhance your creative experience. When colouring or illustrating on dark card/paper, we recommend using a standard pencil to plan your design before committing to adding colours. This allows you to adapt the drawing much more easily than if you were to begin with colouring pencils from the start. Artists who specialise in realism often like to use 'Kraft' paper, which is light brown in colour and often made from recycled card, perfect for those who are conscious of the impacting the environment.
