Bruynzeel has produced a collection of single woodless pencils in a variety of lead grades. From soft to hard, this set of pencils are designed to be used for a variety of creative artworks, including design, technical drawings, sketching and illustrations.
If you're looking for a harder leaded pencil, we recommend H grade. Alternatively, if you're looking for a softer pencil, B grade is best suited to you. We offer B grades 2, 4 and 6, including HB. HB is a mixture of hard and soft, which is often used in schools.
What's the difference between lead grades?
Pencils of a harder grade are preferred amongst designers and architects as they're perfect for precise and accurate lines and drawings. They can still be used for expressive drawings, and are particularly ideal for creating contrasted lighter and darker areas. Soft pencils are better suited to artists who are looking to add depth and texture to their sketches, useful for shading in larger areas.
