Drawing pens (technical pens are precision tools used in technical drawing where perfectly straight, dark lines of constant width are required, useful when doing detailed drawings for tasks such as engineering and architecture.
Drawing pens can be purchased with varying different interchangeable nib widths, and often have refillable ink reservoirs or take an ink cartridge.
More recently, the technology has trickled down to the stationery and art communities in the form of disposable fineliners, utilising the same fine point, but in a more ‘pick up and go’ format, often in many different colours, and used to create amazing illustrations and drawings.
